Engine Meltpoint started in Alverca, Portugal in 2002 as a four-piece — Ricardo Quaresma on vocals, Hélio Freitas on drums, Marco Fernandes on bass, and Bruno Santos on guitar. Their self-titled EP came out in 2012, and throughout the 2010s they played venues like República da Música and Associação Fantasma.

After Bruno's departure, the band regrouped as a trio. Following a long break, they returned in 2020 with 'Pills Blind Me', then 'Belonging Nowhere' in 2021. 2024 brought 'Love Test', 'What Makes a Man', 'Back to Beginning', and 'New Divider'.

Debut album 'Handmade Machine' came out in October 2025 — 14 tracks of ambient textures, heavy grooves, and controlled chaos.
